Leonard Peltier committed no crimes. He was protecting himself and innocent women and children against armed attackers on the Jumping Bull land. A jury in Cedar Rapids had found Bob Robideau and Dino Butler not guilty for exactly that reason. Leonard never committed a crime! (That's why we call him "innocent.")
Only, he is honest. [Today, this seems a serious character flaw.] How can he express "remorse" for not committing a crime?
Leonard asks you to vigorously protect the earth and defend the rights of others, as well as to pass on a tradition of activism to young people everywhere and mentor them.
